Sugar Lake is producing Crappies in 6-8 ft of water on waxies and minnows. Nice 'Gills are hitting as well in the 9-11 ft ranges on the weed flats. Sight fishing is the way to go, beware of the muskies--they are on the prowl as well.

Bluegills are biting throughout the day on many area lakes, stay deeper though, 15-20 ft, they are not shallow yet in most areas. Small genz bug jigs with a waxie is the ticket. Concentrate your efforts on the breaklines near shallow future spawning areas. The larger 'gills are taking small minnows on dead lines as well. For a tougher bite, try some freshwater shrimp.
