Rochester, Lake Pepin, Southeast Minnesota Trout Streams Fishing Report.
Provided by Jim & Shelly Baker The Bait Box in Rochester, MN May 29, 2001
Lake Pepin and Mississippi River : All the trout streams are in
great shape right now and there are a lot of fish being caught on
all of them. Live bait has been doing the best so far and
the fly fishing should take off real good now with the clear
water.
Lake Pepin and the Mississippi
River are doing real well, now that we can get to them again!
The walleyes are really on the bite all over the lake and most of
them are coming out of 8-10 ft of water. I've heard they're
catching them on a variety of ways from trolling crankbaits to
3-ways and leeches-this technique is very effective right now at the
bottom end of the lake.
Lake Zumbro crappie action is HOT
right now with lots of them being caught along the shore lines and
over sunken brush! Cat fishing has also been pretty good on
the Zumbro River for the last couple of weeks.
For up to the minute reports,
give us a call at the shop! Happy
fishing!!!
