Walleyes in American Narrows can be found in 36 to 40 feet while at birch point depths range from 28-32 feet with just a jig and a minnow.

At Cranberry Island the walleyes range from 25 to 35 feet, Cranberry and Rainy Lake City report of many nice sizes northern. Crappie fishing still remains hot on the Canadian side. Remember Walleye/Sauger season closes April 15th and we still have plenty of ice with little snow on top.
